Located in Southeastern North Carolina, Scotland County enjoys excellent transportation infrastructure. Interstate 74 runs through the heart of the county connecting businesses and residents to the financial and energy capital of Charlotte in the west and the port city of Wilmington to the east. I-74 also provides non-stop access to I-95 which runs the entire length of the eastern seaboard from Maine to Miami. In addition to interstate access, Scotland County has three US Highways including US 401, US 15 and US 501.
