  Scheduling Appointments for Transportation

SCATS offers transportation to anyone located in Scotland County. Persons wishing to schedule local medical transportation should call SCATS at
910-277-2416 at least two business days prior to their appointment date.  A person who is receiving Medicaid Transportation must be approved for that service by a Scotland County Dept. of Social Services Transportation Coordinator (910-277-2500) prior to attempting to schedule transportation with SCATS. 

All clients with scheduled transportation to medical appointments are asked to be ready for pickup at least one (1) hour prior to your medical appointment . You should be ready to board the transit vehicle when it arrives at your home. The driver will wait five (5) minutes for you to board the bus. To cancel scheduled service, you must call SCATS before the driver arrives at your home. A 24 hour a day answering service is available for cancellation of scheduled trips. (910-277-2416).  SCATS Drivers are not allowed to enter into the home of a client nor are they allowed to accept any form of gratuity or gift.
